An 800-year old farmhouse estate, set within hills of the Piedmont wine region in northern Italy, is the setting for our latest transformation. These White Walls were asked to breathe new life into the dilapidated property, to create an escapist 12-bed boutique retreat, complete with spa, ornamental gardens, and fine-dining restaurant with views across the vineyard.

Despite the global lockdown, the renovations quietly took place. Emerging into a post-pandemic world, the values we defined pre-covid now seem prescient: we are each collectively searching for reconnection — within ourselves, with each other, and with the nature that surrounds us. More than ever we need spaces that open up this possibility.

These White Walls created a concept that brings the dual aspects of Nature and Nurture together to establish a space where rest and reconnection go hand-in-hand with cultivated indulgence.
